(Right side lower housing.). It is designed to move in one direction until the end of the spool. Pulling the knob forward a bit allows turning of the spools in any direction. It is spring loaded. The little lever for double spacing lines is under the left roller knob.

Serial #4A276555. The Typewriter Database places manufacture in 1948. Most everything else looks to be in good working condition, although without a manual, I’m not sure I tested everything. The case shows wear, but is still in pretty good shape.
